A spacious appartment in the heart of Lisbon

A three bedroom appartment in a lovely neighbourhood in the heart of Lisbon. We are just round the corner from a Metro station with a direct line to Lisbon airport (25 minutes door to door) and easy connections to the rest of Lisbon and beyond.

Our flat is located five minutes walk from the Gulbenkian art centre and its beautiful gardens (https://gulbenkian.pt/museu/en/). This includes a world class museum and art gallery, and a rich programme of concerts, including an internationally renowned outdoor jazz festival in August. Our neighbourhood boasts a wide variety of restaurants- both traditional Portuguese and international. The are several excellent cafes and classic pastry shops. There is also a full range of supermarkets (including biomarkets catering for all dietary requirements), shops and services nearby. We're a short walk from a traditional Portuguese market, selling excellent local produce.

Our appartment is spacious and comfortable with all amenities and is well set up for children. We have a master bedroom with en suite bathroom, a second bedroom with an extendable double bed and a children's bedroom with two high beds. There's a second bathroom, a children's playroom with plenty of games, books and toys and a library. The living room is large and sunny with a dining area and the kitchen is modern and fully equipped.

Lisbon is the perfect destination for short and long breaks. Among the must see sites are Castelo de Sao Jorge (https://castelodesaojorge.pt/en/), where you can experience Portuguese history and heritage. A great way to visit the castle is on a traditional Lisbon tram (https://lisbonlisboaportugal.com/lisbon-transport/lisbon-tram-guide.html). The trams can also take you to fascinating landmarks such as the Jeronimos monastery - a UNESCO heritage site. (https://www.getyourguide.com/jeronimos-monastery-l3594/). In recent years Lisbon has also become renowned for its vibrant nightlife featuring trendy restaurants and rooftop bars with stunning views. Time Out Lisbon gives a taste of the activities the city offers (https://www.timeout.com/lisbon).

Lisbon is also a great base for exploring more of Portugal. Stunning Atlantic beaches are just a few train stops away. One of our favourites is Praia Da Parede (https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g1426241-d4586095-Reviews-Praia_da_Parede-Parede_Lisbon_District_Central_Portugal.html). It's a small beach but despite being easily accessible from the city, it's rarely crowded and boasts a great beachfront bar and restaurant. For easy day trips we would recommend the coastal resort town of Cascais (https://www.getyourguide.com/cascais-l100/) and the longstanding Royal retreat of Sintra (https://www.getyourguide.com/sintra-l99/ http://www.sintra-portugal.com/guides/Sintra-day-trip-from-Lisbon.html).

Lisbon is a beautiful city to visit all year round and our flat is the perfect base to experience all it has to offer.

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Lisbon - 25 minutes

Avenidas Novas is both a quiet residential neighbourhood and a well connected, central location. We're less than five minutes walk from a Metro station on two main lines including the direct line to the airport. While not being over touristy the neighbourhood offers plenty of cultural, historic and gastronomic experiences.

We love this neighbourhood because we can find everything we want within easy reach and it offers the twin benefits of being quiet and comfortable while also putting everything Lisbon has to offer at our fingertips.
