Beautiful Swedish Country house originally built in 1916 located on 3 beautiful acres in an ancient forest 45 minutes from Katrineholm train station . Recent updates and renovations include transformation of the original chicken house and tool barn which have been repurposed as extra guest quarters. The two-story main house sleeps 5 and features 2 bedrooms and children's nook upstairs with living room and wood burning fireplace, kitchen with wood-burning stove and bathroom with shower and incinerator toilet. Additional onsite accommodation includes a "mothers" house with 2 twin beds and attached porch, the "honeymoon suite'(above the tool shed) with a queen bed that sleeps two, the "chicken house" features a queen bed for 2 adults and an attached veranda with outdoor furniture. The house is surrounded by an old-growth forest and accessed by a long driveway off a main road. This place we call Björnkalla (Bear Spring) is absolutely beautiful all year round. Pick berries and flowers in the summer, mushrooms and leaf viewing in the autumn and elk and Winter Hare viewing in the snowy winter months. There is a semi-private lake with gated access for our guests about 2 km from the house. This place is truly nature at it's finest- rustic and charming with all the comforts of home. Additionally, there is a wood barn with chopped wood for your use and an old-fashioned outhouse on the property.
