Family house in Cambridge, Great Britain
Mid terraced house in a pleasant riverside neighborhood. The downstairs has a walk-through/open plan living and dining room. We have a well-equipped kitchen and a breakfast room with patio doors and an outside eating area. On the first floor, there is a small office and a small bathroom with bath and shower, a double bedroom and a spacious twin bedroom( this is our 13-year-old sons but it has two stacking single beds and is tidy and clean!). The 2nd floor has a double loft room.
Our garden is open with some of the neighbors which makes it feel very spacious and there is a good sense of community, however people respect each other's privacy and it is a lovely place to eat and sit - especially in the spring as all of the flowers are out! We have 4 chickens, which our neighbors can look after if you do not want to feed and collect the eggs?

About the neighborhood
You can walk or cycle (10 min) into Cambridge City Centre along the river from our house. We are also close to the countryside and you can walk and cycle to several villages very close by along the river. Cambridge North train station 5 minutes walk away with good connections to London, Norwich and Ely,
Our house is in a suburb called Chesterton. This used to be a small village and the area still holds some of the charm of a village. Housing developments since 1900 have made it part of Cambridge. Our house is very close to the river and you can watch the rowers practicing or the famous cambridge bumps races if you visit at the right time. There are lots of house boats on this part of the river and a large open common on the other side of the river where you can walk or cycle.
There are some shops on the high street within a five minute walk; news agent, supermarket, post office, fish and chip shop, Indian take away and several nice pubs. The house offers good access to drive, walk or cycle out of the city into the countryside.
